Prize for in-depth reporting

The Scoop notes that National Institute for Computer-Assisted Reporting, a US journalism organisation, has announced the winners of its inaugural Philip Meyer Award for journalism using social science research methods. First place went to Steve Suo of the Oregonian for a sophisticated investigation into the avoidable methamphetamine epidemic on the west coast of the United States.
