A British Council poll contrasting the views of 3,121 young people with minority backgrounds in southern U.S. states with a panel of 985 students in Massachusetts and Virginia has found that many American students think Britons are introverted, arrogant bores who whip children and live in perpetual rain, reports the Press Association. Before the British media starts sneering, I should note that in my experience, many British students have similarly well-informed views of Americans.
