Tapped‘s post about the Associated Press’ follow-up on the made-for-TV Jessica Lynch rescue is worth a read. The AP report suggests — surprise, surprise! — that the Nasiriyah drama was unnecessary. The opening sentance says it all:

The U.S. commandos refused a key and instead broke down doors and went in with guns drawn.
