This just came in over the Reuters wire:

U.S. officials say withdrawing virtually all military personnel from Saudi Arabia./REUTERS

Lots of people were saying before the war that the greater strategic reason for this was to reduce western dependence on Saudi Arabia, both for oil and as a military staging area in the Middle East. Looks like this was accurate.
