Chris Mooney discusses the role of “frames” in political communication and a group of communications consultants who are doing something called “strategic frame analysis.” to help liberal advocacy groups better present their position in public discussion. Surely is isn’t a real-world, strategic application of the sort of frames Erving Goffman was talking about? Ah, but it is. Very cool.
